There is more than one way to organize a group of volunteers to support your local units’ goals and your ability to deliver quality AFS program experiences in your community.

It is essential for volunteer organizations to understand and respond to volunteer needs and interests. AFS DOM decided to move from a Role based structure to Task based structure,  looking at how to better match the talents and availability of volunteers to the needs of the organization while helping volunteers to feel more engaged and valued.

Take a look at the  below video to learn more about why and how AFS DOM decided to alter their structure. While also learning of the results of their decision and what they will do to continue improving their local structures.
